How To Use a Gladore FWD

How to use a Gladore food waste disposer

This food waste disposer uses anti-jam swivel impellers that make a clicking sound as they swing into place. This indicates normal operation.

If appropriately operated, the food waste disposer will continue to work in an effective way for a long time, even without special maintenance. The appropriate way to use is introduced below:

  • Remove stopper from sink drain and run a strong flow of cold water.
  • Turn on the switch to start your food waste disposer
  • Slowly insert the food waste into disposer. To speed up garbage disposal, our engineers suggest you to cut or break up big bones, rinds, and cobs. Do not be alarmed if the food waste disposer slows down while grinding. The disposer is actually increasing torque (grinding power) and is operating under normal conditions.
  • Before turning off the food waste disposer, let water and the disposer run for approximately 15 seconds to flush drain line. This ensures that all waste will be thoroughly flushed into the sewage system.
  • Turn off the food waste disposer
  • Wait 15 seconds, then turn the faucet off.

While disposing, motor sound varies according to foods of different components and structures. When disposer has effectively disposed for 15 seconds, the motor sound will return to the level that it starts with, which indicates disposing is complete. At this point you can safely turn off the food waste disposer.
